very fast train

Hi everyone,

I am thinking of getting a eurail flexisaver pass for Italy, Switzerland and France. We will start in Rome. Do these stop at smaller stations so we can get off and stay a night, or is it better to get off at a main place like Florence and then catch a smaller line train to a smaller village to eally see and feel the Italian way of life? I have left 10 days for Rome and travelling to Switzerland. We have been to Italy once before on a bus tour, and now want to do some travelling there ourselves. We do't want to drive in Italy, we're leaving that for France. Looking forward to replies.

1. Re: very fast train

Intercity and Eurostar (the ones you refer as very fast trains) stop in the major cities only.

So your idea of getting off the main station and then move on with Locali, Regionali o Interregionali to smaller places sounds ok.
