Around New Year's with young children (ages 2 to 8)

HI everybody

I was curious if anybody had any suggestions as to what to do with young kids around 28/12 until 3/01 in and around Milan? We would love to see some lights, open air shows, anything outdoorsy with an option of inside activities in case of rain/snow.

Any advice is highly appreciated!

As no one has yet provided suggestions to you "around 28/12 until 3/01", maybe you'll have to settle for some general suggestions for kids traveling to Milan - please read two forum threads from just last year: [ https://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowTopic-g18784… ] [ https://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowTopic-g18784… ]. Also don't forget there is a "Guide to Milan for Families" on Tripadvisor by Stef [ https:/…Guide-g187849-k93-Milan_Lombardy.html ].

One thing that came to mind that will satisfy all of "lights, open air shows, anything outdoorsy with an option of inside activities", is that there is a kind of annual fair held especially for kids for most of December to early January (this time ending 7 Jan 2018) in the Giardini Pubblici next to Porta Venezia, a little northeast of the city centre - it's called "Villaggio Delle Meraviglie". They have their own website where you can find out all the details - only in Italian, so you may have to use Google Translate to help you if necessary [ http://www.villaggiodellemeraviglie.com/ ].
