But you are going to spend nearly 3.5 hours each way getting to Como and back, which is a long time for a day trip. Have you thought about visiting Lake Garda instead, which is under two hours from Venice?Edited: 7:00 pm, November 18, 2012
We are looking at options in and out of Bellagio, July 2013 and toying with these options: we are coming from Luzern and go onwards to Rome, advice, please, about what I have missed?
1. Luzern--Como S. Giovanni--C30 bus (can't see much water transport, Como--Bellagio)
2. Luzern--Lugano--local bus to Menaggio--ferry
4. Bellagio--Varenna by ferry--Milan--Rome
5. C30 bus plus trains in reverse--Milan--Rome
