Air to train Milan

We need to take a train from milan to santa margherita. Which airport should we fly into for easy train access?

The only airport with a train station is Malpensa. From Linate, you would have to take a bus to Milan Central station.

There is little difference in ease between Malpensa and Linate for this. The frequent direct shuttlebuses from Linate to Milano Centrale train station take a shorter time than the trains from Malpensa (there are no direct trains from Malpensa to Santa Margherita).

The airport sometimes called Milan Bergamo is, however, definitely worse than the others - the bus from there takes over an hour.
