two train stations in Genoa

I will be taking the train to Genoa from Milan. I see two stations - Genoa Brignole and Genoa Piazza Principale. Does the train line pass by both stations? I did one research for train and it only listed Genoa Piazza Principale station. I am closer to Brignole. Please help

On trenitalia <http://www.trenitalia.com/tcom-en> type in from "genova". The drop down box will give you the option to select the Brignole station.

Note that only just over half of the direct trains from Milano Centrale to Genoa call at Genova Brignole. The rest of them turn west at Genova Piazza Principe, so to reach Brignole from them you have to change trains. The full timetable is online for dates up to June 10, and the direct trains to July 27.
