Cinque Terre - is staying in Fegina an option to access CT?

We will be visiting the Cinque Terre area sometime between 5th to 18th July relying on public transport to get to the area. We haven't booked accommodation and realise it's coming into the holiday time. Is Fegina an option to access the CT area? I would welcome any feedback as it's all getting rather confusing particularly with news of landslides closing part of the walk. Thanks :-)

Fegina is just one of Monterosso's neighborhoods... therefore if you stay there you will be in the CT already.
