Tap Water

We're visiting CT in October and staying in an apartment in Vernazza. I'm wondering if the tap water is chlorinated. If so, I'll pack a Brita water filter. I'd also appreciate advise on where to buy groceries. We arrive late Saturday night - will anything be open?

Have you contacted the apartment owner/manager about the water? We stayed in La Marina rooms and I couldn't tell you if the water was chlorinated or not.

As to grocery shopping, there are two small shops plus a few places to buy wine and as I recall they are open mornings until about 12:30 and re-open at 4-4:30 until about 8pm or so. If you miss them, enjoy one of the many local restaurants and try again in the morning. Remember, you will be in Italy, and times and schedules are subject to change :)
