We done this journey last year, we went from Florence to Pisa centrale and went and visited the leaning tower. We left our luggage in the train station in a booth! We then got a train from Pisa Centrale to Montrosso! It was worth seeing the Tower!

Hi nige10, When you left your luggage, what booth was it?

How much luggage can you leave?

It was just some place to store your luggage, it was on the first platform after the main entrance to the train station, u will see signs for it. It was very handy for us and didnt cost a lot. There was 6 of us and we each had a suitcase and hand luggage which we left in without problem.

No worries, its a wonderful place, we hired a boat one of the days and went to all of the villages that way rather than do the trek, aswell as snorkeling, brillant! We just rented from the pier in Montrosso!

Hi All!

It's almost time for our trip and I looked into the train schedule and it is not showing availability from Florence to La Spazia to Montorosso, when I click on a time it shows no availability. I'm looking at September 12......Help!

You can find the routes and trains here (using a date within the next 7 days for the section which is on a regional train).

When www.ferroviedellostato.it/homepage_en.html says NA this is simply referring to the availability of the fare online. The schedules are available online until December, but Regional trains can only be bought online within seven days in advance.

There is no reason to buy online in advance as these trains cannot sell out, having no reserved seats, and there are no advance purchase reductions.

The tickets can be bought much further in advance in italy if desired, and if bought in Italy are OK on any Regional train on any day until validated (time/date-stamped) at the station before boarding, after which they are valid for six hours.

Take a cab to the train station in florence. Next, take a train to la spezia. From la spzia, take the bus to the cinque terre where you can buy a 5 terre ticket to the villages. have a great time.

There are no buses from La Spezia to the Cinque Terre: the service is provided by trains.

In Florence, you buy a train ticket from Florence to the Cinque Terre village that is your destination. Ignore reply #19.
