Florence to Cinque Terre to Venice

We will be driving a rental car from Florence to Cinque Terre. We plan to stay a few days and hike around the villages. Is the best/least troublesome way to park the car in La Spezia until we finish our stay in Cinque Terre?

We plan to head to Venice after Cinque Terre... Is Venice easy to get to via train? If it is then perhaps we can just return the rental car in la Spezia instead of just parking it for a few days then driving to Venice.

Thanks for your advice!

You can get from La Spezia to Venice by train in 4 to 5 hours. By car, it would take some 4.5 hours of driving, plus stops. I would not think it worthwhile to pay for rental and parking while you are in the CT.
