Traveling from Siena to Cinque Terre

We will be staying at a villa near Siena, and need to know the best way to get from Siena to Cinque Terre? What is the recommended route?

By train, change at Empoli, then at Pisa or la Spezia or both. See http://www.trenitalia.com/homepage_en.html entering from Pisa to the precise Cinque Terre village you are heading for (e.g.Monterosso) as all have stations.

Use a date this week to see all fares. Times for dates after December 8 are not yet online.
