3 nights in Bologna

Hi, we´ll be in Bologna for 3 nights just after Easter. Family with 2 kids (8 and 11). Recommendations for reasonable, centrally located hotel please. Arriving late and late flight out. Also my daughter´s birthday (9) whilst there. any suggestions for eating somewhere memorable would be very much appreciated. thanks.

For your daughter's birthday you could go to Bolpetta: it's a new restaurant very close to the wonderful Piazza S. Stefano and they serve any kind of polpetta, that I should translate into meatball, but actually they have also fishballs, veggie, cheese and also pasta and desserts are round shaped.

There's also a dish called "Piovono polpette -Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs" like the movie with a tasting of a part of the menu, but as they don't say which ones they put in, it's the chef choosing I suggest you to choose the single dishes to decide yourself what to taste.

Hi, Aligram - Albergo Centrale is exactly as its name suggests: a centrally located hotel. It also has quite a few rooms which are perfect for families (www.albergocentralebologna.it).

Don't all kids love meatballs? We do at Artviva (and we are all, ostensibly, adults). Silvia's suggestion makes our mouth water.
