Car in Bologna

Hi, we are planing to drive from Geneva into Tuscany over Easter with a stopover in Bologna for a couple days to check out that city as well as Modena, Parma, etc. Is it feasible to do so in a car? (We are used to European city driving.) We will also be traveling with our currrently 13-month-old if anyone has additional tips in that regard ... Thank you!

Read up on ZTLs in Italy - most (including Bologna) cities have them and you really do need to be aware of them if you don't want to receive huge fine down the road. I'm sure the other towns have them as well.

Good info below but note the third item in particular:

Thanks, we'll mainly be parking at our hotel, just taking the car out to head to Parma/Moderno for a day trip ... or is it easier to take the train in terms of finding parking?
