Short Break in Le Marche

Hi everyone. We are off to Le Marche at the end of October to stay with son's partner's family in Loro Piceno for 4 nights. We are flying to Perugia and then taking a hire car so will be fairly mobile. We like seeing the sights, a bit of culture and lots of good Italian food. We know Tuscany, Rome and Sicily but have never been to this area before. We are thinking maybe Urbino is worth a visit but would appreciate any suggestions.

Urbino is a lovely city, and well worth visiting. It has a city centre that has hardly change in the past 500 years, and an art gallery that, if it were in Florence, would have queues round the block. It has one of the oldest universities, so the bars and restaurants are lively with young people.

If you have the time Norcia is also a lovely city with a long history.

Many thanks, sydneynick; sounds like good advice. Never heard of Norcia but will certainly check it out now.
