Rome Termini to the Vatican - metro?

I will be arriving from Florence at around 9:00am; heading directly to the Vatican - it appears from my reading of previous posts that perhaps the metro is the way to go? Also, can anyone tell me approx how long it is going to take door to door?

If you're going to the Vatican Museum, then you could probably take the Line A Metro to the Cipro stop - more directions are on this link:

If you are headed to St. Peter's, you might be best served to get off at the Ottaviano stop. It's a straight shot to St. Peter's Square. The total trip time on the metro would be no more than 10-15 minutes and then add about 8-10 minutes walking to either location... This link may give you more insight into the workings of the metro:

If you want to go to the Museums, and if you have not booked tickets, you have to queue, and usually the queue is so long that it starts in Via Leone IV or even in Piazza Risorgimento. In this case Ottaviano is more practical than Cipro. Cipro is the closest to the entrance of the museum, but the point where the queue starts is not the same thing.
