I would LIKE to see the Vatican, Coliseum, Pantheon, Forum and Trevi fountain. I know it’s a lot, but I’m not a huge art/architecture fan – I just want to get a sense of the city. If I love it I will return for a more leisurely trip next time.
I’m arriving on a Saturday morning by train, leaving Monday lunchtime by train. I’m staying near the Termini so I don’t have to drag my luggage into the city. I’m planning on using public transport to get around to save time.
Now – when should I do what? I’m thinking of doing a tour of the Forum and Coliseum on the Saturday afternoon, Vatican Sunday morning and then Trevi fountain, Spanish steps etc on Sunday afternoon.
I would love to see the Panthenon too, but don’t know if I can fit it in?
