Public Transport Amalfi to Naples on a Sunday

I believe that SITA bus does not operate on a Sunday!

Our return flight is 21.00 this Sunday - using public transport how do we get to the airport??

Many thanks

Indeed, some SITA services don't run at all on Sundays, whilst others have a reduced timetable...

However the most convenient - from Amalfi to Naples - only has two runs per day, both early in the morning... so no great loss that it won't be operating?

Instead though, you've several other options when leaving...including using one of the boat companies to get to Salerno, or any of the SITA buses marked with "G" or "H" on this..

From there you can either train to Naples, and then take the Alibus or a taxi out to the airport...

... or one of the Sunday-only buses that this company runs from Salerno to there when SITA don't...

See the notes below this GoogleMaps screengrab of Salerno's Piazza della Concordia area , for where the boats of the Coop Sant'Andrea line land, and where Corso Garibaldi and the station are...

OK so far?

It's an awfully long way, taking between 2hrs 10 and 2hrs 30 back when there used to be a hydrofoil service!

In 2012 there were no regular sea connections between Salerno and Naples all season - and, as yet, no sign of one this year either... there again, with trains that cost only €4 or so doing the trip in some 40 minutes, perhaps hardly surprising?
