We will drive to Matera. Please advise where to park the car for the day to walk around Sassi areas. We will be there earlyy December

Thank you.

In December you can drive into the Sassi without a problem and part down below along the Gravina (in summer it is limited traffic zone for residents and parking is a problem). If you don't want to do that, I'd say the easiest place to find and park is the Stazione. From there it's just a couple of blocks to the Piazza Veneto.

Thanks for the information and suggestion, really helpful. Yes it was quiet in December so plenty of parking along the gravina.
