2 days in Venice

My wife and I will spend 2 days in Venice in mid September. Wanna seek the advice from readers for the suggested itinerary in the 2 days. We would like to experience the Gondola and walking over the city...like going to San Marco !!!

Thank you in advance!

No problem hiring a gondola, there are places all over the city. There is also a set rate of €80 for 40 minutes in the daytime/gondola.

Most visitors to Venice like to take a trip on the waterbus (vaporetto) down the Grand Canal, past all the beautiful palazzi, to San Marco. There you can see the famous square, visit the basilica and also the Doge's Palace (fee)

Most people also like to go to the Rialto markets for goods and, in the morning, seeing the beautiful fresh fish and vegetables (not Sun/Mon)

After that you may need to consult a guide book to look at the other beautiful things that Venice has to offer.

Make sure you look at all the information top right of the Venice Forum page.
