boat tour puglia, adriatic or ionic side?

Hi,

We ( party of 7, 4 adults, 3 children under 10) will be in Puglia in August and are looking to do a boat tour starting at the harbour of Leuca.

Now I see a lot of tours offered and most offer the choice to either head West on the Adriatic side, or east to the ionic side. However what do these sides offer? Does one offer more spectacular nature than the other? More caves?

Is there a way to describe the difference?

Thanks so much for the help,

Pascalle.

I recommend the Adriatic coast too. The Ionian coast has gorgeous beaches and crystal-clear seawater but the landscape is rather flat and imho a boat trip is not necessary in order to enjoy those places.
