Easter in Valencia?

Hello,

We are thinking of booking a weekend trip for next Easter. We have a 3 year old and have been before and would like to take her to the oceanic museum. Will it be opens? Also will there be restaurants open this weekend, or tapas? How quiet will the city be? Will the market be open on the Friday or Saturday over easter? What else is going on over the Easter weekend worth visiting?

Thanks, just thought I had better check before we book,

Debbie

Here is the schedule of the Oceanographic:

It seems they are open everyday. I love the Oceanographic and think this is the best aquarium in Spain.

On Easter Sunday many restaurants may be closed, so you have to check beforehand. All belonging to hotels will be open.

On Easter Sunday they usually have a procession.

Easter weekend will tend to be quieter than other weekends as many city dwellers will be gone for the long weekend or even the whole week. There are going to be more tourists around as well. Otherwise it will be pretty similar to a normal weekend. Many restaurants in the city are closed on Sundays and the same will happen on Easter Friday, but those in the old town centre are likely to be open and busy. The restaurants by the beach are also likely to be busy. The market (I assume you mean Mercado Central) will be open on Saturday (but closed on Friday and Sunday).
