Bump! Can anyone take a look and give me their input? :)
If the address given on the airbnb profile page is the correct address, then I think that's a good location. I've noticed that sometimes their addresses are not accurate (not the owners fault, sometimes airbnb gives you a random address within a 1/3 mile radius of the actual address). Ask the owner in a message if it is indeed that street. I stayed at an airbnb apartment much closer to Puerta del Sol in November and had a great experience. Perhaps this is just me being picky, but I would feel more comfortable if the apartment you're looking at had more reviews than just the four that are there right now.
I think it is a good location.
Nearby is a very good restaurant for cocido.
You do need a reservation for lunch here as it is very popular. The food served is a very large amount.
It's a great area indeed. I'd definitely stay there. I love La Latina and it's certainly my idea of an ideal area to stay in in Madrid. The only thing I would ask about are a/c and stairs. Is this a walk up? I can't tell from the description. And if you'll be there in July it's really really hot. You'll want a/c!
According to the "amenities" list, the apartment does have air conditioning.
Yes in saw that too late to edit. But no elevator. Do us check to be sure it's not a 5 floor walk up or something impossibly exhausting after a long day of site seeing.
