Wineries to visit while staying in Logrono

We are staying in Logrono end of May-June. Are there wineries within walking distance of the town? What wineries would be a quick day drive?

These are right in or very near the city.

There are not many because of the very nature that wine is produced in the countryside.

All will charge and some need to be prebooked.

We walked to Ontanon for a tour and tastings, hosted by Jesus who had excellent English. They have some lovely wines and we learned quite a lot about Roijan wines. You do need to book ahead and it was a nice 45 min walk from the centre of Logrono (and there are also buses).

Acorriding to wikipedia there are 1200 wineries in Rioja, although I would have said arround 600...

All all them are within and hour of Logroño as la Rioja is quite a small area. In Logroño itself you have some but not the most impresive one if you prefer just going walking distance base yourself in either laguardia, Haro, Samaniego, Villabuena, or Elciego...
