Cruise Terminal shops!

Hi,

I shall be visiting Vigo on a Cruise with my disabled mother and have been told that there are new shops and restaurants next to where the ship docks? Does anyone have any idea HOW FAR they are to walk to? If they are any good? How far is the town to walk to and is it on cobbles and is it steep?

Thanks

The Shopping centre was built in 2008 to "capture" the cruise passengers when disembarking.

Use Google maps to determine distance and street view for pavement conditions.

The shopping centre is called A Laxe and it is quite small. It is literally right outside the maritime building. There are 3 or 4 clothes shops, a sportswear shop, a fabulous cake shop, a Galician produce shop, a mediamarkt electronics shop, a jewellers, a sunglasses shop, etc. a couple of pizza places, a couple of cafes, a Burger King. Best thing is to have a drink outside and look over the bay. There is a bridge from the building direct to the old town. So it isnt necessary to do a lot of walking. But if you want to go to C&A it is a ten minute walk. (its always full of Brits from cruiseships! ;-D
