Itinerary help!

I'm planning on visiting Madrid, Sevilla and Lisbon in early May, from the US. I am the trip coordinator for my mom, brother and myself, and am having difficulty with the order of cities to visit.

I'd like to fly into one town and out of another, and it seems that Lisbon and Madrid are best for that, which means Seville is in the middle of the trip. Trains between Seville and Madrid seem easy enough, but how to get from Seville to Lisbon (or vice versa)?? Bus? Car? How long is the trip? IS there a train? Is a flight not worth the time involved at airports? Are there flights? Help! Thanks.

1. Re: Itinerary help!

The best option to travel between Madrid and Seville is the train AVE (high speed train). The trip takes two hours and a half.

Between Lisbon and Seville there are no direct trains. Maybe you should come back to Madrid.

A good plan would be : NJ - Lisbon - Madrid - Seville - Madrid - NJ

Have a great trip,
