Poble Nou Apartment

Hello- First time poster here and was looking for some advice re Poble Nou. We are coming to Barcelona again for 12 days in August after having had a great time last year. Last year we stayed in Eixample which was great and a really good base for exploring the city but this year, we have decided we would like to stay closer to the beach and have decided on Poble Nou. We have found what looks like a very nice apartment which is situated on Carrer Venero which looks to be a small street just off Poble Nou Rambla. Please could someone give me some information on this location and whether or not it is suitable for young children?

Many thanks.

Rambla Poble Nou is an authentic locals street with bars, restaurants and shops and walking space down the middle which is busy with people from the neighbourhood. It connects with the market and schools nearby and there is a park at the bottom just before you reach the beach - so its fine for children. The area between Poble Nou and Vila Olimpica is more industrial with small factories. Busy during the day but almost deserted at night. The only thing is that it can feel a little disconnected from the main sights and tourist areas.
