Crossing to France via Andorra

We will be driving from Spain to France at the end of this month and one route could take us through Andorra. To help us decide whether to add Andorra to our ‘ticklist’ of countries visited can I have some help with the following;

Googlemaps says the route attracts tolls - any idea how much ?

What are the customs/border control issues moving from EU through Andorra and back to EU ?

We’d probably stop in Andorra to break the journey where would be the most sensible place on or near the CG-1, CG-2 for a light or take away lunch ?

People seem to bang on about duty free shopping - what sorts of items are worth thinking about and where would we shop for them ?

I know it’s all a matter of opinion but..........

The alternative route is along the N-260 to cross into France at Puigcerda - is that shorter route better than the experience of travelling through and stopping briefly in Andorra ?

Any advice or info appreciated.
