Travel to Toledo on Sept 11 - luggage and logistics

We are a group of 3 and would like to visit Toledo from Madrid. Does anyione know if the REFNE train station has lockers to store our luggages?

After that, we are planning to visit Bibao. We probably have to return to Madrid and take a flight from Madrid to Bibao. Does anyone know if there is a direct way to travel from Toledo to Madrd airport (MAD)?

There are luggage storage facilities at Atocha train station.

Train to Toledo www.renfe.es

You will have to return to Madrid to reach the airport, by shuttle bus from Atocha, or travel by train to Bilbao, taking the cercanias train renfe.com/viajeros/…horarios.html from Atocha to Charmartin train station then the Renfe train to Bilbao

Flights to Bilbao www.iberia.com or www.ryanair.com though be aware when flying Ryanair of luggage and checkin restrictions.

The only way to travel from Toledo to Madrid Airport is to rent a car in Toledo. Otherwise you have to return to Madrid's Atocha station by train and then go to the airport.

Read in the Madrid forum about the day trip to Toledo.

Thanks for your helpful answers. A friend of mine told me that people at Toledo do not speak much English. We don't speak Spanish. Would it be a problem navigating around Toledo? We booked a hotel and sent questions via e-mail in English but never receive any response.

Nowadays everyone in hotels and tourist places speaks English, so do not worry. If you have to ask directions from someone, choose someone young because most young people study English now, but have no chance to practice it. The older people probably have not studied English in school.

The hotel you chose probably may not be good if they do not answer emails. You may want to cancel and go to another.

I forgot to say that the Madrid Atocha station has lockers. The Toledo station has no lockers.
