Easter Weekend Food Shopping in Palma

Arriving this (Easter) Sunday afternoon and staying in an apartment (on the east side of old town), we accept we'll probably just eat out on the Sunday night but can anyone advise if supermarkets and/or street markets are open on the Monday to get some food stuff in.

Any advice gratefully received.

You'll certainly find places open on Monday, at least in the morning.

Thanks for the reply - from our experience it may help others to know that on Festival/Bank Holidays pretty much every shop in Palma is closed and there are no markets. But the department store El Corte Ingles on Jaume III (there are two branches in Palma) has a supermarket downstairs (which I have since seen mentioned elsewhere on TP), this opens at 11.00 am on Festival days and was surprisingly good.

PS what a great city.
