In the Bretxa market you will find all sorts of delis etc. One of the specialities of this area is sheep's cheese (Brebis).

We had cheese, ham and olives. Not on a sandwich, but packed it in little bowls or plates. Try Manchego cheese and the lovely crusty bread from the Lidl supermarket at La Brexta. There is a shop selling many different olives in the market. Our favourite was the coctail mix containing different varieties. Jamon Iberico (iberian ham) is divine if expensive. There is also lovely tinned tuna (not your average tuna in water).

Enjoy!

The ventresca tuna is gorgeous, and I have become addicted to guindilla peppers!

The Spanish think that Jamon Iberico (iberian ham) is the food of the gods! Yes, it is expensive but you live only once! Actually it is has low cholesterol because the pigs eat acorns.

The jamon iberico comes from the oak forests of Huelva.
