You are staying in one of the best places for a night out with everything on your doorstep. Parte Vieja (Old Town) is where most of the famous bars and nightclubs are situated. On Calle Mayor is a bar which has exceptionally cheap beers at a certain time. I can't remember the name or the prices but I'm sure you will stumble across it at some point.

Hi Robert,

In the Old Town you will find many bars and pubs open till 3.30 AM. Or if you want a larger night, there are some locals such as:

Be-Bop

Disco Friend

Victoria Eugenia

People

These locals are used to be open till 5 AM.

In anyway, I'm sure you'll enjoy the city.

Hi,

I am organising a stag do and San Sebastian came to mind. I have heard from one of the locals it is a great place to go to enjoy some good food and drink and have a great night out. We will be a group of 6 in our late twenties to mid thirties.

I just want to see what it would be like weather wise mid November? Would we be able to partake in the surf if we had wet suits or would this be a bad idea.

Robert, did you guys end up going to San Sebastian?

A fair few of my clients are stag groups from the UK and Ireland going to San Sebastian. Weather is less likely to be good in November - there may be some rain but there could equally be as much sunshine. Water temperature is around 16-17C and there will probably be plenty of swell for surfing. At that temperature a summer wetsuit (3-2mm) will be plenty.

Parte Vieja is great until around 3 a.m. You will stumble upon so many great bars there. They are hard to miss! After 3, there are a few nightclubs by La Concha beach. We would always head that way around 2 or 3 after Parte Vieja. My favorite club there was Bataplan :)
