Zaragona with car

Dear TA-members,

Planning a 2 nights stop in Zaragona on our mad journey from the north of Europe to the south.

Would love some advise how Zaragona is treating drivers? Is it an easy city to drive in? Is parking easy available?

Any recommendations for a central located hotel (close to all the sights since we are short of time) with parking close by?

Thank you!

There is no free parking in Zaragoza. You would need to find a hotel with parking and it will cost at least 11 euros a night.

Driving does not seem to be too difficult in this city. However downtown has some narrow streets that are one way streets.

All parking is free on the weekends in Zaragoza. However, as it is free its first come, first serve (and spots fill fast). Parking in the private parking lots will run 0.05 € a minute, and can be paid by cash, credit card, or Zaragoza city card (residents). In 2 weeks (end march 2013) the tranvia (city train) will start running from North to South Zaragoza, Free parking is available in Valdespartera and north in Actur/Parque Goya 2. You best bet would be to park in Actur near Carrefour and take the tranvia downtown (for free parking). The Ayuntamiento has a page for the location of the pay lots in downtown zaragoza.es/ciudad/…parkings.htm
