SERCOTEL Gran Luna is near the outer ring road so easy to locate and about 20 minutes walk to the Cathedral.
Hotel Macia Real de la Alhambra is on bus link and you can walk up to the main entrance of Alhambra in about 30 minutes although there may be a bus taking you to the general area (parking) and a frequent bus 33 to go into town.
This hotel looked ideal...but latest post on trip advisor said the pool isn't in use. Wondering of this is permanent or just due to the season!
Normally - Outdoor pools will only be used between about 15 June - 15 September.
Outside of those dates it would be necesary to have heating.
Within those dates it is possible to get a temperature of above 20C with no heating.
(in my experience) Spanish people will never swim in a pool outside of those dates.
Most people think that below 21C is too cold.
Although very few people obey the laws in Spain it is actually illegal to heat an outside pool with electricty or gas, it has to be solar powered. (correct me if I am wrong)
If you really want to be certain I advise you to phone the hotel to make sure.
They often have maintenance days and the pool can be closed.
If all fails there are public swimmimg pools here is a list.
