Street entertainers

Hello everyone,

Just returned from Torre and one of our usual haunts, Bar Torro, halfway down Calle San Miguel.

We are a fairly predictable couple and every day we were entertained to death by the very agile bloke on the unicycle who juggled fire brands -- cost us a fortune in small change.

Hubby and I were reminiscing about a clown who started by blowing up heart - shaped balloons but then, moved on by mimicking passing individuals, both in body shape and facial expressions and brought in members of the 'audience', which once included our daughter.

His finale was to persuade a young couple, to kiss through the origial balloon and separately, feigning a continental kiss on both cheeks, through sheer brilliance, contrived to have the man kiss him on the mouth, much to the delight of the audience.

What a professional.

Is he still around? I would travel specifically to see him!

Hi Anne, just got back ourselves. We saw your friend on the uni-cycle as we were sat outside the Cabello. He was good&like you it cost us a bob or two.Get fed up with the accordianists though.Wish you could give them some money to go away! One night two of them were nearly fighting outside Browns/Tahiti.An old boy was playing away outside the Tahiti when a yound lad started up outside Browns. The old one went mental and young one, after some argie-bargie,cleared off.Best night of the week.If you gave to all of them you would have to return home after three days cos you would be el-skinto!
