Hardly surprising it is over in Marbs, with the prices they charge they can create heaven.... nearly €300 pp for NYE?? Better be good lol
Thanks for your information, Benny, as useful and excellent as usual. The best hotel in Spain and, by no means, the most expensive.
This is just a money-making organisation's award - with a limited number of paid-for entrants! (£495 + VAT, or £2500 + VAT for 'enhanced' entry) We're not talking Condé Nast here.
Where was the Hotel Don Bigote in Palma Nova,Majorca placed in this survey?
Thanks for the explanation. My question was tongue in cheek. What a farce but I suppose some people are taken in by these "surveys" and book a place they otherwise might not. Anyway they are all way out of my price league. Best hotel I stayed at in Marbella was El Fuerte. It was plenty good enough for me and when I can afford it I will return.
Quite. I remember when I lived in Brighton one travel magazine had Brighton beach in its top twenty in the world. Shortly afterwards another article didn't have it in the top twenty in the UK.
I think it was in the top twenty because it has good restaurants, bars, a fishing museum, deckchairs etc and also because it wasn't sandy therefore no screaming kids running around thus ensuring a peaceful nap! There were other reasons too connected with it being inches from the best city in the UK (OK they didn't actually say best city but they were very complimentary)
All opinions are subjective.
In Marbella you might like this one.
