Is there an efficient way to go to granada from malaga. Is it possible to do it as a day trip?

Yes it's an easy bus (coach) trip. Buses leave from the main bus station in Malaga (round the corner from the train station). The bus company who go to Granada is Alsina Graells. They have a website at www.alsinagraells.com, (click the Andalucia button) - it's a bit of a confusing website but the information is all there somewhere. Basically the buses leave on the hour every hour for Granada although there are a few gaps in the evening schedule. The trip takes about 90 minutes to get to Granada and costs about 9 Euros. Just look for Alsina Graells window inside Malaga bus station and you can buy tickets there. Malaga bus station is easy to navigate and has an electronic arrival and departures board. Granada is beautiful and there's plenty to see so give yourself as long a day as possible there to make the most of it. Also make sure you check the return bus timetable in case there are gaps in the schedule coming back.

Have a lovely trip!
