We are "proud" of your town too, Ati! As my friends in Madrid often tell me: "If you haven't been to Andalucia, you can never claim to have known the 'real' Spain for what it truly is .... if you haven't experienced the magic of Sevilla, Cordoba and Granada you simply haven't lived"- I endorse in humble submission! Cordoba is magical and its flower filled patios are a joy to behold. This latest UNESCO listing is a richly deserved one.

Thanks, myscreen123. Hope you can see (if you fancy) some of the scheduled activities (Xmas music, etc...)

Overwhelmed, Dariuskakalia. Thank you for your beautiful words. =)))))

Yes, we like to think that beauty is spread all over and that we have a piece at this corner of the world.

The visible beauty and the invisible one. This listing awards and rewards a collective job, a form of communal living, a heritage given from grandparents to parents and children. And also rewards this days of 'let's open the house, let's invite everybody to enjoy with us'.

You guys are SO right, Southern Spain (Andalucia) is Spain and l love it. There is no other place l would rather travel too than Andalucia, and l try and get there when l can.

Cordoba is such a pretty city, l love just walking around the streets, up and down the side streets where the tourists never go. Love talking to the people, they are so friendly, l only wish they understood me, LOL, no joke.

Ati, next time l'm in Cordoba l'm going to look you up kid so you can show me the real City of Cordoba, where the tourists never go. That is how l love to travel.

My first time in Cordoba was in 1968, Spain was a lot different then, but still so beautiful, can't wait to get back, someday soon l hope. Until then, it will stay a memory in my heart and mind, it will be a beautiful memory. Hubie P.S. people like you Ati is what makes Cordoba what it is.

Thanks for your kind words, Gigis_mum. =))

Hubie, a good glass of Montilla-Moriles, a chat and a walk is waiting for us. that's for sure.

People like you are the reason for me to write on this forum.

By the way, the Town Council and the owners are discussing more patios' opening days. Stay tuned, friends!!

Wonderful information Ati. No wonder you are so proud of your city - and the city should be proud of you as you are such a great ambassador for Cordoba!

I am ashamed to say that I have not yet visited Cordoba - but this is something I must rectify very soon.

Thank you, CathDM. Counting down the days to Semana Santa... ;)

Thank you, Campolady. I think the same about what you do for Lake Vinuela, Nerja, Costa del Sol and Malaga. Lookforward to seeing you here. =)

A very interesting visit, for those who want to know the patios is the Viana Palace, considered the 'Patios Museum'.
