3. Re: flights

As previously mentioned, Manchester, Birmingham, Stanstead, Gatwick airports fly to Almeria. Depends where you live. Airlines concerned are Monarch, Thompson, Thomas Cook, Ryanair, Easyjet and Iberia.

However these are seasonal and flights for most stop in Sept/Oct and do not resume until May. I believe the only exception for winter flights from uk is Iberia but they are very expensive and even they do not cover the whole year around. From Aberdeen you could transfer via Madrid if essential but again at great expense.

I would recommend direct flight with Monarch from Manchester or Birmingham in Summer but in winter months it is better to fly from your nearest airport to Malaga or Alicante (Flights from Glasgow or Edinburgh) if possible, flights are plentiful all year around from almost any uk airports and many airlines. Almeria is midway along the coast between these two and is about a 2 hour transfer by coach or hire car.
