24th sept Election day, Dresden or Leipez

23rd sept to 25th sept we are staying at Rackwitz. we plan to tour Leipez and Dresden on those days. will the election on 24th sept affect the touring attraction or will they be closed?

we are a couple in 50s and have a hired car. please inform if we have any other historic area nearby apart from these two cities. we have planned Potzam and Berlin later in week.

The elections will not affect anything, except the TV programme in the evening.

... I assume you mean Leipzig?

Leipzig itself?

Reformation sites in Wittenberg?

Torgau's old town?

Wörlitz garden realm?

By 'leipez' do you mean Leipzig, 'BErling' = Berlin and Potzam=Potsdam?

It will be the same as every Sunday. Stores will be closed, trams/bus run on Sunday schedule. Only difference might be that there are more people on the streets and restaurants are busy as people tent to go out for lunch after voting.

But in general, a tourist will not even know that there is an election(besides the posters that are all over on the streets)
