Mainz Train Station to Wine Festival

Is it easy to walk from the train station to the Wine Festival? If not, what bus should I take?

Mainz is pretty small. I THINK you want to get off at Roman Theater and walk towards the old town. I have been all over Mainz and never taken a bus. Others know better. Mainz is a great town for these festivals. It has (as you may know) lots of squares with beautiful buildings, statues, fountains. You'll have a great time. Don't make us embarrassed by public drunkenness - or wear a sweat shirt claiming you are Canadian.

The Mainzer Weinmarkt in the park that takes place in late August/early September? Station Römisches Theater is just a couple hundred meters from it. Walk up the stairs from platform 4 around the Roman ruins, then turn left and there you are at the entrance to the park.
