Cologne walking logistics rail to hotel

Is it walkable, with luggage, from Cologne's central railway station to the Pullman hotel?

It's a 1 km walk, so depending on the weight of your luggage you might prefer taking a taxi. The hotel is situated between two tram stations, taking the tram for 1 or 2 stops wouldn't make much sense though, because it would still require some amount of walking. So taxi is probably the best choice. Fare is probably under 7 Euros.

I've stayed at the Pullman, it is walkable but I wouldn't want to do it carrying luggage. FYI it's a lovely hotel.
