Sailing into Hamburg

Hi

I am booking a cruise to Hamburg and wonder whether it is best to the on the left or right side of the ship for the best views of the city as we arrive. Thanks for any help or advice you can give.

Into Hamburg: left side as the city center is on the left (north) side of the river Elbe.

as abalada said on the left side you will see the City centre with the "Michel" Church, "Landungsbrücken" and "Speicherstadt".

on the left side you can also the the historic sailingship "Rickermer Rickmers" and the historic frightship "Cap San Diego"

On the ride side a short time after entering the Elbe-river you may see the Airbus-factory and at Hamburg you could see some Containerterminals and the Lion King Theatre on the right side.

But most impressing will definitely the LEFT side.
