Rooms that have smoking facilities

Given that smoking is banned indoors. What hotels (or other accomodation) offers facilities, without the need to traipse a number of floors down to the door?

many hotels have smoking rooms/floors. Look on the website of the places that you are interested in.

Also you will find quite a few bars thatallow smoking, either in a special area or in some the whole bar, look for a blue sticker by the door with a cigarette logo ,red line = no smoking without red line= smoking allowed

We saw a number of places displaying the sign (for smoking allowed) that bongoblog mentioned, and had the option for booking a smoking room (be aware that these are often on the top floor so if stairs are an issue take this into consideration and check that the hotel has a lift - not all of them do)

another option is to book an apartment with a verandah which is what we did in Berlin & Bremen. you could check out www.airbnb.com

We were also surprised to see so many smokers, which included school kids having a last minute ciggie out the front of their school (which actually had a sign "no smoking in the school building" on the front door)

Another option is to give up!

Although hold that....Europe needs the taxes and the multinationals need the profit.
