new year's eve trains from schonefeld

Hi can anyone tell me what time the trains stop running on New year's eve? We are arriving at 7.40 pm at schonefeld and heading to Kreuzberg.

Thanks!

Berlin is not the UK! They run a proper public transport system which runs when people want to use it e.g. all day on Xmas day). This year trains ran all night on new years eve so it's likely to be the same. From Schonefeld it depends where you are going to in Kreuzburg, but either take the 171 bus to U-Rudow then U-Bahn line 7 to Hermannplatz or later stops for west Kreuzburg.Alternatively take the S-Bahn from the airport station heading towards central Berlin and change to the U-bahn at Warschauer Strasse.Watch out for fireworks!

The S-Bahn will probably even run through the night. At 8pm you wont have any problems getting into Berlin.

You'll find a journey planer on www.bvg.de.

Never.

Here the press info for 2004/2005:

s-bahn-berlin.de/presse/presse_anzeige.php…

In the nights from 30. Dec. 2004 till 2nd Jan. 2005 the S-Bahn trains run non-stop.

On NYE the trains run throughout the night with a max. interval of 20 min (normal 30 min). On the S-Bahn ring and the Stadtbahn (west -east-axis) there will be a train every 10 min. On the Nord-Süd-Bahn (north-south-axis) every 5 min.

This should be very similar for 2005/2006.
