Night train to Munich?

My wife and I are going to be in Rothenburg for only one day, and we were looking to leave in the evening to go to Munich. We are buying Eurail passes, so is there any transpertation that we can use on the Eurail pass in the evening?

You can use your Eurail Pass any time of the day. There are however no night trains on this route. It's also too short for a night train trip.

DB timetable

From: Rothenburg ob der Tauber

To: Munich

The last connection from Rothenburg departs at 20:07. Via Nuremberg and with ICE train from there you'll be in Munich at 22:51. If you use regional trains only you're back in Munich at 23:37. For this connection you can use the Bayern Ticket Nacht (Bavaria Ticket Night). EUR 20,00 for 2-5 persons traveling together. This ticket is valid from 6pm till 6am. It covers also the U-Bahn, trams and buses in Munich (what a rail pass does not cover). If you want to use the Bayern Ticket select at the DB timetable as means of transport "only local transport".
