Hi I am traveling to Nuremberg next Monday evening, what is the best way to go to hotel pls
Take a taxi it's only some Euro 25.- to the city center. Else take subway to the main train station (Hauptbahnhof) and catch a cab from there.
The subway is only €3 to anywhere in Nuremberg (including transfers), so unless the hotel is not close to a subway stop, I really do not see a reason to take a cab from the central station...(or take a cab at all)
Convenience for instance? Well at least would be a very valid reason for me.
People asking for the "best way" are often intersted in the cheapest way or the option with the best-value otherwise they'd just ask for the taxi fare.
And €25 for a taxi is significantly more expensive than €3 for the U-Bahn....
They are a family of four and their public transport fair is therefore Euro 9.-
Difference is probably Euro 10 to 15 depending on location of the hotel.
And "the best way" for me always is the most convenient.
Whereas it is a different story when people ask about "best and cheapest way" as this is an Oxymoron.
Family of four? They wrote "I am"...
And just because you don't take public transportation doesn't make "best and cheapest way" an Oxymoron....
You are right, mixed up the question with a similar one.
But disagree with the best and cheapest part. Best is e.g. flying on a private plane or driving a Ferrari or go for Heli-skiing. Non of which is the cheapest way of doing that sort of things. ;-)
In OP's case the best way to get to the hotel would e.g. be by a limousine transfer. Nothing to do with public transport.
In my opinion "Best" is subjective and cannot be measure objectively. Depending on the individual or the respective circumstances, everybody could have a different view of what is the best way. So we'll just have to agree to disagree on this one.
Fully agree on that ;-)
