You should give your exact OVERALL itinerary.

When do you arrive at Munich.

Do you arrive at Munich Airport on the Monday.

Are you flying out on the Wednesday

Are you on your own

This all has a great bearing on best tickets.

Also Munich public transport is separated into zones. You can get day tickets for unlimited use of the transport with each zone. Depending how much of the network you want to travel will determine which zonal ticket you want

DAY TICKETS

MVV Munich transport network

AUGSBURG

If just going to Augsburg for the day and not for appointments (early) then consider the Bayern Ticket

the Bayern Ticket. Costs €22 for 1 person then €4 for each additional person up to a total of 5 people. Gives you UNLIMITED use of ALL Regional public transport in Bavaria. Includes ALL Regional trains ), ALL Regional buses and ALL city transport in Munich, Augsburg and Nürnberg.

Only the fast ICE, IC, EC and RJ Railjet trains are excluded

Valid from 9am weekdays (midnight weekends) until 3am the following morning

Full T&Cs and click on Bayern

bahn.de/i/…laender-ticket.shtml

A standard ticket on the Regional trains to Augsburg coes €12.20 each way (so €24.40) so the Bayern ticket at €22 gives you this plus unlimited use of the public transport in Augsburg and Munich on the same day.

There are lots of faster Intercity services (ICE, EC etc) between Munich and Augsburg which are NOT valid with the Bayern Ticket. Use

http://www.bahn.de/i/view/GBR/en/index.shtml and click "Local Transport" to see Regional services and don't forget the Bayern Ticket is only valid after 9am weekdays

.

Mo: depends on your plans

if you just travel around Munich itself a

MVV Partner Day Ticket inner (MVV) district EUR 10,20

is sufficient

mvv-muenchen.de/en/…index.html

.

Tu: Bayern Ticket EUR 26,00 for 2 persons

The S-Bahn station at the airport only has one platform. It is served by both S1 and S8 lines, both of which will take you to central Munich.

It is very easy - just follow the signs for the S-Bahn.

No. The train station at Munich Airport has only one platform. And is also the terminal station for both S-Bahn lines (S1 and S8) serving it. Thus you cannot even take a train into the wrong direction.

The sprint of the women at 1:19 is a waste. Still 6 minutes to go before the train returns to Munich.
