Dijon (France) to Munich

Hello - we are a couple intending to travel from Dijon (France) to Munich in May. What is the best way of getting to Munich?

We intend to stay in Munich for about 3 days, then train to Prague for about 4 days, then train to Berlin for about 5 days.

Advice please!

I guess it is best to use trains. Check sncf.com for prices. Tickets can be bought 3 month in advance. There is also a night train connection via Metz.

car is quickest; perhaps 7 hours on motorways.

Train is nearer 8, and may need 2 changes.

Plane is out- silly fares and several changes.

There are trains that require only one change either in Zurich or Strasbourg.

Check timetable and prices at www.tgv-europe.com (do not accept redirection to Raileurope when you access this site!). total journey time about 7 hrs 30 minutes.

Strasbourg would make a very nice stopover if you want to split the train travel. So does Heidelburg, but that would require changing trains more often.
