Amsterdam to Baden-Baden

We will be in Amsterdam this fall and want to take a train to Baden-Baden and do the spas. Has anyone taken a train from Amsterdam to Baden-Baden? Is the train station far from town and will we need a car or taxi to get around once we are there? Thank you very much.

I suggest you look at www.bahn.de for train details,if you book 90 days in advancethe tickets will be mush cheaper, although they will be no change /no refund.

DB timetable

http://reiseauskunft.bahn.de/bin/query.exe/en

Start: Amsterdam Centraal

Destination: Baden-Baden

The train station is in the suburb Oos. Some 5 km from Baden-Baden town. But Baden-Baden has a good bus network.

Bahnhof = train station. The main bus hub is Leopoldsplatz. Use with the DB timetable

Destination: Baden-Baden Leopoldsplatz

Baden-Baden city buses get you as far/high as Lake Mummelsee (bus #245)

A 24 hours ticket for 2 (up to 5) persons is EUR 8,20 (KVV Cityplus).
