Which hotel is nearest the slopes/best location?

Can anyone help me find a hotel which is near/on the slopes? I'm looking for around a 3* hotel for Christmas 2008.

Please help

Although we've never stayed here see what you think of this hotel which is close to the start of the central slopes in Val:

This hotel, on the outskirts of Val at La Daille but linked by shuttle bus, is one we know better:

We definitely don't want to stay at La Daille, we want to be right in the middle of Val d'Isere.

Thanks for the suggestion anyway.

Just returned from a 5 night stay at Hotel Brussels. Location can't be beat -- we could ski in and ski out. It's a 3 star but seemed more like a 4. The hotel staff (particularily the reception) couldn't be nicer, and the dinners (which are included in the hotel rate) are first class all the way. I would highly recommend it. Have a great time!!

Hi there, just back from Val d'Isere and I have to agree with the last suggestion that you can't beat the hotel Brussels for location. I didn't stay there but it definitely looks more than a 3 star and is actually situated at the bottom of the slopes - and the rooms at the front all have balconies.

I stayed at the Tsanteleina which is just slightly further down, although still only a 2 min walk and would also recommend it for location and generally being a nice place to stay.

Don't forget to visit the Moris bar if you're into live music and a two hour long happy hour. Have a great holiday
