Uniworld River Cruise -- Lyon to Paris travel

We are planning a Uniworld river cruise that ends in Lyon. We are considering whether to take the Uniworld Paris extension or do one on or own. One issue is getting from the Lyon port to the rail station. Does anyone have any information or suggestions on how easy/difficult it is to do? Also, if anyone has any comments on the Uniworld Paris extension, I would appreciate it. Thank you.

Lyon Perrache train station is under 1k from the port. You can walk or take a tram T1 for one stop in the direction Hôtel de Région - Montrochet. If you go to the CDG airport, then you need to get to the Part-Dieu train station. In which case take the T1 tram in the opposite direction (IUT - Feyssine) for eight stops till Gare Part-Dieu - Vivier Merle (not Part-Dieu - Servient). A prebooked taxi will cost you around 10-12 euros.
